I was at a gas station a week or so ago thinking about how much I could afford to spend on gas basing it on what I had planned on accomplishing in the next few days. At that time, gas was somewhere around $4.50 a gallon when it hit me. When was the last time I saw gas this high? Answer? During the Obama administration. I couldn’t remember the reason or excuse Obama gave for the high prices, nor did it matter. What mattered was how much more money was exiting my wallet because of it. People didn’t like it then, and they sure as hell don’t like it now. Especially when just months earlier, gas was under $3.00 per gallon. And when you take into consideration that not too long ago, the going rate for a barrel of crude oil on the stock market was ZERO, it makes one wonder how we got from ZERO to what we’re paying now in such a short period of time. While Biden and his team give every excuse in the playbook for the record highs in gas prices, you’d have to be as stupid as they think you are if you give any credence to them. At first, I thought it was simply complete incompetence and to a large extent, this remains true (depending on your ideology and how you define the word incompetence) but it goes much deeper. Just about everything we’ve experienced since Joe Biden was installed along with democrats controlling Congress can be summed up in just one word.
Manufactured
Yes, whether it’s gas prices, inflation, prolonging the war in Ukraine by sending billions of dollars in weapons and aid, the US southern border crises – pick a topic, any topic and you’ll find this was the plan all along. Why this has all transpired so quickly is the question. Biden and most democrats had to have been fully aware this was a suicide mission. One they also knew they would not survive politically which is why you’re seeing so many democrats (including some republican RINO’s) not seeking re-election. They have had close to two unfettered years to pass legislatively or through executive orders as much as they possibly could before the hammer falls on their ability to do so. And make no mistake, they still have plenty of time to do even more damage which is the scariest part. What baffles me the most is why. Why Biden and the democrats in power seem hell bent on destroying every good thing the United States has accomplished during Trump’s Presidency escapes me but seeing as this article is on gas prices, we’ll stick to the topic.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that Biden’s open disdain for the fossil fuel industry and the actions he’s taken on day one has largely contributed to hundreds— if not thousands of dollars leaving American’s bank accounts each month. We already have a good idea why, yet Biden gets on TV freely admitting he’s done everything he can to solve the problem while at the same time knowing he created the problem in the first place. And that’s on a good day when he’s able to string enough words together to form a coherent sentence.
Perception
Unless I am mistaken and seeing as I am not an economist or someone who plays the stock market, I could in fact be mistaken…. gas is a commodity. Along with a multitude of other commodities, it’s sold on the global market. The prices of which are determined by the selling of what is called “futures.” Futures are nothing more than some extremely wealthy people looking into their crystal ball backed by mountains of data betting on whether the price of something will rise or fall in the near future. We saw this first take place when Biden announced that he was killing the Keystone Pipeline. Prices continued to rise with more and more regulations and hiked fees for drilling permits and just about everything related to the oil industry. Anyone with half a brain could foretell this would be the result. Everyone knew the only way Biden and the Liberals could push the “Green New Deal” was to make fossil fuel energy so expensive, it makes the alternative plausible once again proving the stupidity of these people knows no bounds. But we’ll take a quick look at it anyways. One final note on perception. If Biden were to announce that he was returning to all of Trump’s policies immediately regarding everything relating to energy production— I guarantee you— the price of gas would soon drop considerably.
Alternative Energy
When I heard Biden say something to the effect that he actually believes he can transition the US away from fossil fuels during his time as President, it proved beyond a shadow of a doubt the he is out of his ever-loving mind. Don’t get me wrong, I always knew this but his actions so far should be proof enough for the rest of the public. Let’s be completely honest for just a moment and agree we are decades away from the technology required to replace fossil fuel energy to supply the needs of the US, let alone the rest of the world. Everyone is touting electric cars. Run out and spend 60K on an electric car they say as if everyone has 60K laying around the house collecting dust. “It will be cheaper to run”, they say. You’ll be saving the planet,” they say. They all say this with a straight face knowing they are lying through their teeth as the words leave their mouths. But for this segment, let’s give them the benefit of the doubt. All of the sudden, everyone buys electric cars. Right now, the last time I checked which was a few months ago, the cost to charge an EV was somewhere between $9.00 and $30.00 depending on where you go to charge it. Keep in mind that EV’s make up a minuscule percentage of vehicles on the road today. Now imagine the price of electricity if EV’s made up 30% or more of all autos on the road. Also keep in mind the news reports on possible brownouts taking place in states like New York, California and Texas due to the lack of enough electricity. And let’s not forget how electricity is produced. You got it! For the most part— fossil fuels. You think gas is high? Electricity will soar to unimaginable heights should EV’s become the norm. That’s the inconvenient truth they neglect to tell you. Do you actually believe there is enough wind, solar or any other energy viewed as ‘Green” that could even begin to make up for this? And don’t forget, this soaring price of electricity won’t just affect your new EV, it will now affect everything requiring electricity. Including your home. But they don’t tell you that. Electricity will be so high, gas will plummet with everyone wishing they still had their gas cars.
Everything is Temporary
Yes, that which we have come to know as the Biden Disaster will soon pass. Most likely sooner than we think as I am convinced that within six months of republicans retaking control of the House and most likely the Senate, Biden will step down which gives us President Kamala Harris. Some people think a Harris Presidency will be much worse may want to read two previous articles I wrote titled The Fall of Joe Biden and President Kamala Harris. You’ll find my reasoning there. Biden has done nothing more than delay finishing what Trump began meaning— his border wall will be completed, his remain in Mexico will be reinstated yet again putting and end to catch and release, the Keystone Pipeline will be resumed and completed which are just a few of many of Trumps policies which will see the light of day once again. Some of which might take place in 2023 while others may have to wait until Trump is re-elected but I can say with confidence— most if not all of Trump’s “America First” policies will be back. And yes, gas prices will go back to normal as well. Unless republicans flip the stupid switch after the midterms, it will be a cold day in hell before Democrats regain the majority in Congress. And pigs will fly in that cold day in hell before you see another Democrat President.
But the one question still remains unanswered. Why? Was all of this simply a futile effort by liberal Democrats knowing they would be crushed in the next elections done as an experiment just to see what would happen? To see how much and how far they could go with their agenda? When is comes to cultural and societal issues, most Americans are pretty much live and let live kind of people. Our bar of tolerance is pretty high but when you start screwing with our kids and they way they’re taught, our ability to live in relative safety and feed our families— that’s a line you just don’t cross and you will pay dearly should you do so.
With the way Democrats are acting, I guess they either didn’t get the memo or don’t care. But I’d still like to know why.
