Israel and The Middle East: Part 2

Before we begin part two, if you have yet to read part one— here it is.  We have to again come to a few conclusions with the first one being (obviously)  had it not been for the horrific surprise attacks taken place on Oct. 7th by Hamas against innocent Israelis this article, along with the first article would never have been written. All involved would be alive this very moment, including the ones who committed the atrocities. Now before you say “No shit Sherlock,” the reason I bring this up is so idiots on the left with their protests against Israel can understand that which is obvious to you and I. I’d also like to add that I personally could for the life of me never understand antisemitism. It’s completely irrational. People hate Jews just because their Jews? Seriously? To me, it’s nothing more than religious racism. I just could never understand it.

Common Sense Lost

It’s the fact that so many are actually protesting against Israel right after these obscene attacks that surprises me. Did they think Israel would just sit back and do nothing after discovering their citizens brutally murdered? No, they declared war on Gaza which any sane government would do. And then we have to take a closer look at exactly what these (mainly kids) are actually protesting and the bottom line is when you get to the cold hard truth is these protestors simply want Israel to not exist and by extension, the Jewish people. In a nutshell, after everything is said and done, that’s the harsh reality. They want to eradicate Jews. Sound familiar? Does the name Hitler ring any bells? But the opposite was happening in the Middle East starting with the Abraham Accords. Other countries were finally seeing the futility of hatred. It was getting them nowhere and costing them a fortune so they made the decision to live and let live. But no, Iran wanted no part of it and to a slightly lesser degree, other Muslim countries in the neighborhood also but Iran appeared to be calling the shots when it came to Israel.

Needless to say— the news of peace deals became a major threat to Iran and their ongoing cold war with Israel. Something had to be done to snap Muslim countries back in line calling for Israel’s demise which gave the world October 7th. Now, any sane individual would have immediately called out Hamas for their actions in complete support of Israel but very few did. And protests against Hamas? Almost non-existent compared to the protests we’ve seen as of late. Don’t get me wrong, I could never see the real value of protests. Now-a-days, 85% of all protests are made up of people who really have no idea what they’re protesting.

Kids – Gotta Lov’em

And who are 98% of these protestors you ask? Well, watch any news story covering them and they’re primarily made up of kids. You know, the most easily manipulated people on the planet. They soak up propaganda like a sponge. Especially if they feel distant from the norms of society. The more distant they feel, the more apt they are to join in these hostile groups because it gives them a sense of belonging. Many having no idea or failing to realize they’re being used as pawns to bolster talking points from so-called leaders in order to enrich themselves. And it’s not just in the U.S.— it’s around the world. Watch just about any newscast covering this issue and what do you see? Kids. Try to have an intelligent conversation asking pertinent questions? Impossible. They would stick to their talking points then walk away calling you names and continuing their nonsensical chants most of them having no clue the meaning behind them.

Truth and/or facts play little to no role when it comes to kids and their causes because when kids are involved, everything is ideologically emotional. Again, the more lost these kids are, the more ideologically emotional they become and the leaders of these groups love them for it because it increases their visibility by the media as their personal bank accounts increase with donations. And for this, we have to honor our wonderful (sarcasm) learning institutions for allowing this to take place. They call it free speech but when those demonstrators call for the death a destruction of Israel and it’s people, those are hate crimes.

The media plays a large role in this also. They are the agitators. Whether it’s social or mainstream, the media does it’s best to rile up hatred by inaccurately reporting on stories for ratings or clicks. The alleged bombing of the hospital in Gaza is a perfect example. It was the lie heard round the world in sixty seconds. Forget the fact it turned out to be a defective rocket fired from within Gaza with evidential confirmation. The damage had already been done to the point where the truth no longer mattered. And because of that lie, this war could become regional. But don’t be fooled. This is what they want. Or at the very least, it appears to be what they want after reading bold statements coming from Iran and Hezbollah with media right behind them.

Let me add that not all young people are this way. No matter what their religion might be. Just making an observation.

War vs Religious War

Like I said in my previous article— I’m about as far away from warmongering as one could get but, (there’s always a but) there are times when war becomes unavoidable be it through allied countries meaning World War 1, irreconcilable differences meaning the U.S. Civil war or intentional war brought about by lies meaning the Vietnam War and U.S./ Iraq war. Then we have all the other little wars being either political, ideological with some even genocidal the rest of the world hears little to nothing about. Some can go on for years while others last days. Depends on the war and it’s intended goal. No matter the war and the events leading up to the war including it’s outcome— there’s always one thing that takes place. People die. But it’s the way in which they died that determines whether or not a war is truly over or just postponed for the next generation. Horrific events took place in both World Wars and some which preceded them. The hurt still remains with some but in most instances, when a war was concluded, populations (for the most part) eventually moved on to a more positive role in the world community. When it comes to religious wars, it’s a totally different ballgame.

It has been said that throughout history and throughout the world, more people have died in the name of religion than in all other conflicts. While I have no intention of verifying said statement, it seems plausible. I’ll also add (for what it’s worth) that I’ve always found the words secular and nonsecular the most confusing two words in the dictionary. I’m always reminding myself the definition of both to make sure I use them correctly. For those of you who are like me, I’ll give you a very quick refresher. Secular— Not relating to religion or to a religious body; nonreligious. Nonsecular— the opposite. Seems like it should be the other way around… doesn’t it? Oh well.

Religious wars can be generational. Especially when the primary goal of a particular religion is the eradication of those who don’t believe the way they do. Kids are brought up from birth to believe this way and if part of that belief is their own death can be righteous just as long as it’s due to their religious beliefs, so much the better. While their may be other religions out there who believe this way, the only one that comes to mind are those who adhere to Islam. Are all Muslims this way? Certainly not. They want to live in peace just as much as the rest of us. But when you see all the protests against Israel and consider that this comes right after the events of October 7th and the horrific murders of over 1400 Jews who were just minding their own business by people who truly believe Jews should not exist, then if I lived in Israel, yes— I can totally understand how people can be Islamophobic or at the very least, Islamocautious. True or not, what Hamas did that day reminded the world of the perception that all Muslims believe this way and again, how utterly crazed and inhuman their beliefs can make them towards others simply by virtue that they exist on the same planet. Proof positive that a few rotten apples can in fact, spoil the whole barrel and all the protests chanting death to Israel isn’t helping their cause. Wars under these premises never truly end. They fester, come to a head, boil over then a band-aid is placed over it for the time being but the wound never heals only to return when it regains it’s strength.

This has been going on in the middle east for centuries. To the point where everyone there believes this is just the way it is. Can’t be changed. Only tolerated and to the rest of the world, that would be fine if the middle east kept their open wounds localized to the middle east. And again, outside of Israel, if it weren’t for oil, the world wouldn’t give them a second thought. The same way the world doesn’t pay much attention to wars including these same horrific atrocities committed in African nations.

Two Choices – Well… Three

First—The U.S. has to make a clear decision on terrorism concerning our allies. I’ll be the first to say the U.S. should not be the policemen of the world. Especially when the cultural differences between the U.S. and other countries are so vast. While it would be a very nice thing for the world to live in peace, the only way we (at this time) will achieve this so-called peace is to ignore the trials and tribulations of other countries— just as long as their problems don’t become our problems. I know, it’s a horrible thing to say but it’s the unfortunate truth. But when it comes to our allies, their problems become our problems and to an extent, that’s how it should be. [Now, I say to an extent deliberately. For an explanation of this I’ll refer you to my article, The Pot Calling the Kettle Black. Moving on…] And for that support, we’re allowed to put in our two cents worth of advice. Some of it wise, some of it unwise but regarding what happened to Israel on October 7th, I personally feel it’s time to end the constant fear of terrorism once and for all. No one should have to live that way and Hamas has demonstrated beyond a shadow of a doubt that they simply won’t stop until Israel is no more. Iran has demonstrated beyond a shadow of a doubt that they will not stop until the Middle East as a whole acquiesce to their way of thinking. Until then, they will do everything in their power to stop any further peace agreements between Israel and Arab states.

The events perpetrated by Hamas on October 7th was pure terrorism. There is no other way to define it and no way to justify it. Israel made the correct response by declaring war on the Government of Gaza run by Hamas. Therein lies the distinction. Israel declared war. No tit for tat. No proportional responses. They declared war meaning, old-school— they’re either going to win it or lose it. The only way Israel accomplishes this is by taking out all aspects of the Hamas Government completely. Then either negotiating a lasting peace between Israel and the residents of the Gaza strip or absorbing the Gaza Strip as a conquered territory of Israel. One, or the other. The Palestinian population can either accept it, live with it, or move. It will be totally up to them.

Second— And this could be more true than most imagine. There actually are countries in the Middle East whose governments would love to have a war which included the United States and they’re willing to sacrifice hundreds of thousands of their populations for the optics and propaganda which would follow. Why would they do this knowing they would most definitely lose? Simple, in the hopes that China, North Korea, Russia and others would join in making this World War 3. In other words— if radical Islam religious ideology goes down, they’re going to take the rest of the world down with them. A good death indeed. Sadly for them, these other World powers won’t buy into their (radical Islam’s) suicidal wishes.

Third— Radical Islam Ideology (primarily against Jews) has been around for a very… very long time but it wasn’t until the addition of terrorism with suicide bombings did the world sit up and take notice. They thought all it took was money to appease these terrorists and that’s what they did. Billions of dollars in bribes to these organizations to get them to behave. What were the results? As we’re seeing now, more powerful terrorists.

Hamas took a stand on October 7th and now finally, Israel has taken one as well. If countries like Lebanon and Iran get involved as their statements indicate, then Israel will have no choice than to declare war on them as well with their very first act after doing so (in response to Iran) should be taking out anything having to do with Iran’s nuclear proliferation. But before any of the above takes place— Israel has to do everything possible to let the populations of said countries know they have no beef with them as individuals. It’s their governments and those who support their governments— they are responsible and the reason for the declaration of war. Seeing as most in Iran do not want the Government they have, could be seen as a good thing.

Should other countries get involved, as far as the U.S. is concerned, providing arms to Israel should be enough. And by that I mean all arms needed to take out these terrorist organizations (specifically in Iran and Lebanon) as completely as possible. Some may call me a hypocrite for saying this because of my stance on the war in Ukraine. Those are two completely different situations and this article is long enough without me having to explain why. Perhaps later but the explanation is obvious. Never again should the world allow any terrorist organizations to grow to such an extent as we’ve seen with Hamas, Hezbollah, even in Mexico with the Cartels. They’re like a cancer and you can’t kill it by feeding it which is exactly what Mexico and by extension, the United Sates did with Biden’s open border policies which we will eventually pay a huge price for.

Live and Let Live

I’ve always been a live and let live kind of fish….  live your life as you see fit just as long as the way you live your life doesn’t affect the way I live mine and I’ll do the same. Don’t force me to affirm or condone your way of life and I won’t ask you to affirm or condone the way I live mine. Pretty simple, right? While we may disagree, we can all be as happy as we can knowing no one is going to harm or kill us or our loved ones by living under these fundamental principles. But we live in a world where people want to torture, kill and do unspeakable things to others just because of their religious beliefs. We could have nipped this in the bud long ago but didn’t which allowed it to grow to a level where it’s poisoning everyone. Even the ones who continue to cultivate it with lies and propaganda.

I believe it’s time to remove the entire plant and do our utmost to keep it from growing back.

At the End of the day, 99% of us will never experience the horror of what took place on October 7th. 99% of us will never be able to comprehend the reasons why Hamas did what they did and the way they did it. 99% of us have never lived and will never live under the conditions most in the Middle East live under so we can’t honestly put ourselves in their shoes. 99% of us will never understand the pure hatred one religion has against another. And while that hatred exists, nothing will be solved.

People form their opinions based on the information they receive whether it’s fact or fiction. Be it from the nightly news, gossip or from professors at learning institutions which is why you see all the protests being held at colleges and Universities by young people. Think this hasn’t happened before or isn’t happening this very moment? All it takes is a quick look back in history and we find the Hitler youth and the hatred taught to little Japanese children leading up to world war 2. As far as today? North Korea is a perfect example. It is inexcusable what mainstream media has done in their reporting on the Israel/Hamas war but to them, the narrative is more important than the truth.

So at the end of the day, when the truth finally does make it’s way through the confusion of lies and we get a better understanding of the events of October 7th, it’s difficult for us to have any compassion for Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip. We understand why Israel declared war and if it ends up with their declaring war on Iran and possibly Lebanon, most of us will understand that as well.

The mindset of hatred has to either change or be eradicated. People can’t live this way. Knowing that at anytime, another October 7th can happen again. And as long as there are people who can look at the photos of unspeakable actions taken that day and think nothing of them or respond with “they got what they deserved.” The mindset won’t change.

I just said that it’s next to impossible to place ourselves in the shoes of others who are vastly different culturally and ideologically from ourselves but there is one thing we all can agree on and at the end of the day, it has nothing to do with politics, religion or ideology. Take a hundred families (or young protestors from Universities for that matter) from across the United States. Place the adults of each family in a room and show them the actual photos without being blurred of families huddled in a corner of a room together— riddled with bullets with parents on top trying to protect their young children. Show them the photos of beheaded babies. Tell them about the rapes and deaths that took place that day. Show them the unadulterated proof of the inhumanity then ask them one simple question.

How would you feel if the photos shown to you were of your family or loved ones?

You see, it’s the inhumanity that’s above and beyond anything else. It’s one thing to fire missiles indiscriminately into another country during a war or military conflict. It’s one thing for armies to fight and kill each other. Unfortunately, it’s their job. But to walk across a border and slaughter people minding their own business is quite another.

It’s the willing, purposeful acts of unspeakable inhumanity.
