First, the headline:

Interestingly enough, contrary to the headline, the article continues with: “The Department of Defense announced its pursuit of a nuclear bomb that will be 24 times more powerful than one of the bombs dropped on Japan during World War II”. The Pentagon is seeking congressional approval and funding to pursue a modern variant of the B61 nuclear gravity bomb, which will be designated the B61-13, according to a DoD press release.

So, although the headline gives the reader the impression [one] already exists, it doesn’t?  [They’re] just seeking money to build one? Clickbait at its finest.

Second, the Obvious Reminder:

I believe it’s important to state the obvious just for the ones who get their news from liberal mainstream media who conveniently fail to report on issues that go against their narrative. And that reminder is throughout the entirety of Trump’s Presidency, none, I repeat, none of this happened. Once Biden was installed, the proverbial shit hit the fan and all hell broke loose around the world, including the U.S.. Give that some thought. The list is long and none of it good.

Nuclear War

Ring Around the Rosie

Ring around the rosie
pocket full of posies
ashes, ashes
we all fall down!

Began as a rather nonsensical rhyme, Ring a Ring o’ Roses [Ring-a-ring o’ roses, A pocket full of posies. A-tishoo! A-tishoo! We all fall down!] with the American version under the image above, it’s difficult not to remember this rhyme and its interpretation of doom like it was referencing the bubonic plague even though the first recorded version of the nursery rhyme didn’t show up until the mid-1800s, some 200 years after the plague. Because of this and its continuing interpretations since, including one for Covid-19, let’s just say it remains to this day an eerie reminder that horrible events befall the human race from time to time with some of it due to our own making.

The threat of nuclear war has been around pretty much since the successful test and subsequent use to end the pacific war against Japan August 6, 1945. Since then, many countries now have nuclear weapons. Interesting how many don’t know this.

  • Russia – 6,255 nuclear warheads
  • United States of America – 5,550 nuclear warheads
  • China – 350 nuclear warheads
  • France – 290 nuclear warheads
  • United Kingdom – 225 nuclear warheads
  • Pakistan – 165 nuclear warheads
  • India – 156 nuclear warheads
  • Israel – 90 nuclear warheads
  • North Korea – none, but material to build 40-50 nuclear warheads

As stated below in my article Ukraine War – It’s Time to End it Before it Ends Us:

Personal note: This should scare the shit out of everyone. Anyone— I repeat, anyone who believes a nuclear war is survivable is out of their minds. I wrote about this years ago stating from research I’ve done regarding this doomsday scenario. Believe it or not, it only takes 100 nuclear weapons to destroy human civilization as we know it. Guess what, 100 is just a fraction of nuclear arsenals of the U.S., Russia and China. And the crazy part is, you don’t have to aim them at anyone in particular. The fallout and resulting nuclear winter will do the trick.

Furthermore, it only takes 6— I repeat, 6 EMP devices set off over the U.S. to completely destroy the country’s electric grid. Although one would probably be enough because of the domino effect it would create. Same outcome for the U.S. (only taking more time) but a whole lot less destruction. Again—  scary shit.

Now remember, outside of North Korea, it just takes one of the countries listed about to wipe out global civilization as we know it. Again, scary thought. Which brings about the answer to the question referenced in this article. Veiled threats? All depends on who’s making them.

History Lesson

To this day, although seeing as we have to wait 30 years or longer to get to the truth of what really does go on here in the U.S., from what we now know, President Dwight D. Eisenhower was not only behind the massive expansion of nuclear weapons in the U.S. with his approval of the top secret National Security Council Paper No. 162/2 (NSC 162/2), on October 30, 1953, stating that “the US arsenal of nuclear weapons must be maintained and expanded to counter the Communist threat.” Which in turn, brought about significant spending on aero/military/defense electronics and components increasing the number of atomic weapons from 1000 in 1953 to more than 18,000 by the time Eisenhower left office in 1961.

He was a big believer in using atomic weapons as one would use any conventional weapon and made no bones about using the threat of their use if he felt it was warranted and did make threats against China during the Korean War (among others.) Thankfully, the threats remained just that, threats but I have to add that these weren’t veiled threats. He wouldn’t have thought twice about using them if he had had the chance. Many in his administration felt the same.

JFK also would have implemented nuclear weapons but only as a last resort in retaliation. Fidel Castro believed otherwise stating that he would have had no problem pushing the button if it weren’t for Nikita Khrushchev having control over the missile system (put in place on Cuban soil by the Soviets because the Soviet Union lacked a credible long range ICBM deterrent against a possible US attack,) discovered by the U.S. in 1962 signaling the Cuban Missile crisis immediately thereafter. Did we ever get close to a nuclear war back then? The answer is probably closer than at any time before or since. Want to know the story behind it? Feel free to look up Vasili Arkhipov. Interesting story.

Survivable?

A better question would be, would you want to? Look at any videos showing the aftermath of Hiroshima and Nagasaki with the slow deaths of citizens who did survive the nuclear bombs and that would enough for anyone to say… “No thanks.” That is unless you’re one of the very few who have built shelters from a nuclear blast or in huge underground cities/bunkers built by countries to preserve a sample of their people. Don’t get me wrong, unless countries are carpet-bombed with nuclear weapons turning countries into vast wastelands, there will still be a significant part of the world who will be unaffected. That is until the rest starve to death from the lack of edible food or drinkable water. Again, no thanks. That being said, believe it or not, there are many who truly believe a nuclear war is not only survivable but looked forward to. Simulated war games using nuclear weapons I’m certain go on to this day in every country which possess nuclear weapons.

Another History Lesson

Below is an excerpt from my book 2024: The Wreckoning. What does this have to do with the notion of nuclear war? Everything.

Ever Heard of Edward Bernays?

No? Well—  you should because the lessons and creative tactics he’s taught countless corporations and governments during his lengthy life are being implemented to this very day. So who was this guy?

I touched on him briefly in Covid-19: The Convenient Virus from China but I have more to say here. Interesting stuff,
so, pay attention.

Edward Bernays, born November 22, 1891 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary was considered the Father of Public Relations. He made corporations countless millions with his innovative ideas on marketing, public relations and propaganda. He was able to do this by incorporating the views of his uncle. Good old Sigmund Freud.

Notice the word propaganda. Bernays made the very wise move changing the word or term propaganda to public relations for one main reason.
While the word comes from 1622, when a new branch of the Catholic Church was created called the Congregatio de Propaganda Fide (Congregation for Propagating the Faith), long for Propaganda, consisting of a group of cardinals convincing non Catholic countries to join Catholicism, everything was fine until World War II and Joseph Goebbels—  a German Nazi politician who was the chief propagandist for the Nazi Party, and then Reich Minister of Propaganda from 1933 to 1945.

Needless to say, after the war, the word alone, now forever connected to the Nazi Party put an unsavory taste in the mouths of Americans and most everyone else when they heard it. Hence the decision by Bernays to change Propaganda to Public Relations in everything having to do with his business. An author of hundreds of articles and notable books such as Crystallizing Public Opinion written in 1923. Propaganda written in 1928. Public Relations written in 1945 and The Engineering of Consent written in 1955. Notice the word change and the date? Clever man.

Among many of his accomplishments was the creation of the focus group— a coveted practice to this day.
His tremendous success in the corporate world including government came from incorporating theories of psychology and psychoanalysis he learned from his uncle, Zigmund Freud. He was the one who ushered in women’s exit from hidden smoking behind the barn into smoking in public at a time where even the thought was considered taboo resulting in huge profits to the tobacco industry. He saved Betty Crocker’s failing attempt to sell their cake mix which started out as a disaster to a resounding success with his solution of just adding one egg. (Interesting story behind that one.) Bernays showed American corporations how to convince the public to purchase their products through their emotions rather than their intellect. Governments and those behind governments took notice of this and quickly procured his services working for the administration of Woodrow Wilson during World War I with the Committee on Public Information. He was instrumental in promoting the idea that America’s war efforts were primarily aimed at “bringing democracy to all of Europe.” Sound familiar? Following the war, he was invited by Woodrow Wilson to attend the Paris Peace Conference in 1919. And with success in manipulating minds of the masses initiated a substantial increase in the power of Permanent Washington, birth of the deep state and most likely the term psyops. And we can’t forget the role the media played.

Here’s a quote from the man himself which sums it up nicely.

“The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. …We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society. …In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons…who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind.”― Edward Bernays, Propaganda

The scary part about that quote is that when you take it into consideration adding much of what has taken place since 1928, Bernays was correct.
I can only hope that Permanent Washington along with corporations and equally important—  the media sent him hundreds of gift baskets along with his very healthy paychecks for his invaluable contributions to their rise in wealth and power. What we have seen over the years are proof that those elected to national office are but a fraction of people who really run the government and unelected people behind certain agencies can manipulate elections by their own actions. They play a role in the placement of a President and have the ability to take him out. [end excerpt]

Side note— When it comes to any foreign policy, military aid or aid in general and/or assistance of any kind including the expenditures that go along with it begged for by unelected bureaucrats on behalf of countries not thought of as allies, you can bet your bottom dollar that it will be for one of two reasons. Fear of what might happen if they are denied and/or as Bernays said “make the world safe for democracy.” And Congress, most times buys it hook, line and sinker. More-so if additional pork that has nothing to do with the initial request is added. All thanks to Edward Bernays.

And it continues to this day, primarily taking place in learning institutions. Why? As I’ve said time and time again in many of my articles. Most recently in my previous article Part Two of Israel and the Middle East. Below is an excerpt:

Kids – Gotta Lov’em

And who are 98% of these protestors you ask? Well, watch any news story covering them and they’re primarily made up of kids. You know, the most easily manipulated people on the planet. They soak up propaganda like a sponge. Especially if they feel distant from the norms of society. The more distant they feel, the more apt they are to join in these hostile groups because it gives them a sense of belonging. Many having no idea or failing to realize they’re being used as pawns to bolster talking points from so-called leaders in order to enrich themselves. And it’s not just in the U.S.— it’s around the world. Watch just about any newscast covering this issue and what do you see? Kids. Try to have an intelligent conversation asking pertinent questions? Impossible. They would stick to their talking points then walk away calling you names and continuing their nonsensical chants most of them having no clue the meaning behind them.

Truth and/or facts play little to no role when it comes to kids and their causes because when kids are involved, everything is ideologically emotional. Again, the more lost these kids are, the more ideologically emotional they become and the leaders of these groups love them for it because it increases their visibility by the media as their personal bank accounts increase with donations. And for this, we have to honor our wonderful (sarcasm) learning institutions for allowing this to take place. They call it free speech but when those demonstrators call for the death a destruction of Israel and its people, those are hate crimes.

The media plays a large role in this also. They are the agitators. Whether it’s social or mainstream, the media does it’s best to rile up hatred by inaccurately reporting on stories for ratings or clicks. The alleged bombing of the hospital in Gaza is a perfect example. It was the lie heard round the world in sixty seconds. Forget the fact it turned out to be a defective rocket fired from within Gaza with evidential confirmation. The damage had already been done to the point where the truth no longer mattered. And because of that lie, this war could become regional. But don’t be fooled. This is what they want. Or at the very least, it appears to be what they want after reading bold statements coming from Iran and Hezbollah with media right behind them.

Let me add that not all young people are this way. No matter what their religion might be. Just making an observation.  [end excerpt]

When it comes to propaganda or indoctrination― best to get them while they’re young.

Why now?

Why all the talk of nuclear war now? Seeing that we have a walking vegetable in the White House, there are countries who see this as their best chance to throw a military wrench into whatever their end-goals are without seeing any real repercussions from Biden. I guess it appears all those bribes turned out to be money well spent. It began with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine resulting in billions of U.S. dollars flooding into the most corrupt country on the planet with no strings and more incredibly, no audits of how all those billions are being spent. And they— including the Biden administration is asking for more cleverly trying to couple it with Israel and the U.S. border. To this day, I firmly believe the U.S. involvement in Ukraine was and still is a huge mistake. Please see my two articles giving my reasons. The Pot Calling the Kettle Black and its sequel, The War in Ukraine: It’s Time to End it Before it Ends Us.

The Ukraine War was the first instance of talk of using nuclear weapons by Putin. With all the money and weapons provided to Ukraine by Europe and the U.S.— you may not agree with him but at the very least, it’s understandable why he made those comments. A veiled threat? We’ll answer that question soon.

And now we have, yet again— The Middle East (parts of) and its ongoing fight with Israel. Before October 7th, it was the occasional crazy kid radicalized by those who taught him at a very young age that his life was nothing more than a tool of sacrifice and martyrdom for a faction of his religion that wants to kill all those who don’t believe the same way they do. While a horrible act in of itself, it almost got to the point of being considered the cost of doing business in an insane part of the world.

October 7th changed all that. And they changed in it an unbelievable way. Forget for just a second about what happened by Hamas as a whole and ask the question. I don’t care what the reason may be— how does one human being commit such horrible acts on another human being? And these aren’t military personnel, these are innocent men, women and children. It’s like Hamas militants are nothing more than a bunch of insane, bloodthirsty Jeffrey Dahmer serial killers committing these atrocities with smiles on their faces, even recording them as mementos. More mind-numbing are these kids (including some elected U.S. representatives) protesting, ignoring or even justifying the attack as a Hamas military action. Why? See the Edward Bernays segment.

So why did they do it? And why did Hamas do this now? And why in such a horrific manner? The answers are a tad complex, but I’ll do my best to explain it because the goal goes further than just Israel and the Gaza Strip. I touched on this in my two articles on Israel and the Middle East. Specifically in the first article. As I stated in that article, Iran calls the shots for Hamas, Hezbollah and other factions in the region. They want the war to become regional but more importantly, they want large nuclear powers to involve themselves in the exact same way as what took place during World War 1. They also know that if that takes place, nuclear weapons will come into play. And trust me, there are a few elected members of Congress and apparently some in the United Nations by not condemning Hamas atrocities who wouldn’t mind if that happened. You see, to Iran (and other countries who support them)— it’s a win win. Because of their religious beliefs, they won’t mind going down in a ball of flames just as long as they take the rest of the world with them which is why Iran really wants this war to go global and they knew it would take a horrific attack in Israel to get the ball rolling. They knew Israel would not back down until Hamas is obliterated. Not this time. To Iran— so far so good.

So let’s answer the question.

There were only four reasons why Truman authorized the dropping of two nuclear weapons on Japan back in August 6th and 9th, 1945.

First, he believed it would be the end of World War 2— although he figured the first one would have been enough after obliterating the city of Hiroshima. To his surprise, it wasn’t and went on to do the same with Nagasaki three days later. Ironically, Nagasaki wasn’t the first choice. The bomb could only be targeted by sight, and due to cloud cover, Kokura was not visible detouring the plane towards the soon to be doomed city along with 40,000 of it’s inhabitants in addition to the 80,000 killed in Hiroshima. Soon after, the war finally ended.

Second, he was also well aware that the U.S. weren’t the only ones trying to come up with their own nuclear weapons. Germany, Russia, even Japan themselves were in the process of building their own. When you look back at history, it makes one wonder if the U.S. would have made the attempt at all if it weren’t for a letter from Albert Einstein to President Franklin D. Roosevelt warning him of this and if anyone was going to be first, it should be the Americans. Interestingly, Einstein would come to regret sending it. Thank God he did because the Geo-political globe would not be the same as it is today if he hadn’t.

Third, with Truman’s warning to the Japanese that should they not immediately surrender, the U.S. would unleash a weapon of destruction yet to be seen by the world. Now, strangely enough, he didn’t get that much push-back on his decision because leaders of other countries, especially those seeking their own nuclear bomb were somewhat morbidly curious to see the immediate affects and subsequent aftermath of dropping the bomb. They weren’t disappointed but as horrible a sight that was, it didn’t stop them from wanting one of their own as soon as possible.

And last but by no means least, taking over the Presidency following the death of FDR and not viewed as much of a leader by his contemporaries, Truman had to show that he had the balls and leadership abilities to make tough decisions that were about to change the world. He even made the point to boast (hint with a shit eating grin) to Soviet Premier Joseph Stalin that the United States has successfully developed a new weapon during the Potsdam conference. Stalin put a damper on Truman’s news by responding with something to the effect…   “I know”.

Those days back in 1945 compared to today are like night and day in just about every way possible. The thought of using nuclear weapons is abhorrent to sane, rational individuals. That is— unless they are used in a retaliatory manner. Then, all bets are off because everyone loses. Remember, mutually assured destruction which is why none have been used since that fateful day in Japan. But they kept building them, making them even more powerful. Which brings us back to the headline at the beginning of this article. Think about it. The countries listed already have the capability to end civilization as we know it with what they already have. So, what compels them (and us) to allow this nuclear arms race to continue? If there are advantages, I can’t think of them. Supersonic nuclear weapons? Does it matter when the moment a country launches them, hundreds will be launched in return. And I mean hundreds. And don’t forget, all it takes is 100 to do the trick and it doesn’t matter where they explode.

Therefore, the answer of whether or not there will be a global nuclear war is an emphatic NO. With one caveat and even then, it’s a real long-shot but I’ll tell you anyway. But let’s start with the obvious.

Scenarios

Russia – 6,255 nuclear warheads— I find it interesting how the media uses the term winning the war in Ukraine when the absolute very best Ukraine can hope for is expelling Russia’s military from the country and perhaps, just perhaps retaking annexed regions. And while one may consider that winning, has anyone looked at Ukraine recently? No, that’s not what I would consider winning the war in Ukraine. That’s just Russia saying they don’t want to play any longer.

That being said, if Ukraine (or any other country for that matter) advanced the war into Russia, Russia would have no problem using nuclear weapons as a defensive measure and only as a last resort. You’ll find this is true for most all on this list.

United States of America – 5,550 nuclear warheads— Retaliatory and/or defensive measure and only as a last resort.

China – 350 nuclear warheads— Retaliatory and/or defensive measure and only as a last resort.

France – 290 nuclear warheads— Retaliatory and/or defensive measure and only as a last resort.

United Kingdom – 225 nuclear warheads— Retaliatory and/or defensive measure and only as a last resort.

Pakistan – 165 nuclear warheads— Retaliatory and/or defensive measure and only as a last resort.

India – 156 nuclear warheads— Retaliatory and/or defensive measure and only as a last resort.

Israel – 90 nuclear warheads— Retaliatory and/or defensive measure and only as a last resort.

*North Korea – none, but material to build 40-50 nuclear warheads— No one really pays that much attention to North Korea. That is unless you’re South Korea. For decades, North Korea has made threat after threat after threat and that’s all they were. Why? Because North Korea knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that should they purposefully invade South Korea, their government would no longer exist which is why you (for the most part) don’t see anything happening other than threats. That will change if they build nuclear weapons deliverable through ICBM’s. Should that happen, I guarantee you that while they may never actually go through with threats, they will be sure to make them. They know having the ability to is a huge bargaining chip that will be used more for the purpose of extortion than anything else.

** Iran – none, at the moment but they’re trying— This should be the most concerning of all. See segment regarding Iran.

The only way the world goes into a global nuclear meltdown is if it involves China, Russia and the U.S. should either come to the conclusion that there is no hope for their country and their populations. Like I said, their thoughts will be that if they go down, so does everyone else. When you think about it, makes sense. Remember? Mutually assured destruction. By virtue of that, no country is going be the first to start the dominos falling by using nuclear weapons offensively. And let’s not forget that should they make this horrible decision; their economies will cease to exist and by extension, themselves. However…

Iran

When you have a country like Iran, whose government is run by people who sincerely believe in a version of Islam which states that all (including other Muslims) who don’t share their beliefs are not true Muslims and their deaths along with the rest of non-believers are equally justified— who also believe that their own deaths (according to their religious beliefs) are nothing more than martyrdom should scare the shit out of the rest of the world should they attain nuclear weapons as part of their arsenals. Out of all the nations having nuclear weapons, this is the one who would push that button for religious principles. We read reports that Iran is close to building one and why the U.S. and more importantly Israel have allowed Iran to get this far is beyond me. And what do we do? Try to bribe them with billions of dollars to get them to stop (which have failed at every turn) when a simple ultimatum would be much more effective, and cheaper. And what is that ultimatum you ask? Here it is… (remember, just suggestions).

Ultimatum from Israel— Should Iran (or through proxies) further involve themselves in their declared war with Gaza, Israel will respond by either taking out their ability to export oil and/or taking out anything involving their nuclear ambitions.

[Personally speaking, I doubt the U.S. would have any problem with the above ultimatum seeing as at the end of the day, Israel would be saving the U.S. time for doing what they would eventually do.]

Ultimatum from the U.S.— Should any of the following take place backed up by irrefutable evidence:

  1. The selling or distribution of weapons grade uranium or other materials used in making nuclear weapons.
  2. The testing of ICBMs.
  3. Above or underground nuclear tests.
  4. Iran or its proxies fully enter the Israeli war with Gaza.

The U.S. will immediately respond by taking out anything relating to Iran’s nuclear ambitions. No negotiations, no money, no bribes just a warning. Should any of the above take place (including others that I haven’t thought of,) this is what Iran can expect under no uncertain terms. Trump and Presidents before him have said time and time again the U.S. will not allow Iran to have nuclear weapons. It’s time we encase that promise in stone.

The bottom line: There is no justification for any further research and development in making nuclear weapons more powerful. There is no justification for any government to use nuclear weapons in an offensive manner. There is no justification to have enough nuclear weapons to end civilization as we know it 100 times over.

Will there be a nuclear World War? While I can personally answer that question with a solid “no” using the information above—

The honest answer is it all depends on who’s running the countries that have them.
