Sometimes during the course of one’s career, when we get lucky to have a topic about an event or an individual— we see the entire article in our mind so clearly, it writes itself. This my friends, is that time. Although to be honest, I had no intention of writing an article about Nikki Halley at all. That is until recently after watching a few interviews she had done after the Iowa Caucuses and the upcoming New Hampshire Republican primary election taking place in just a few days. When I wrote my article back in September titled The Candidates, I had a fairly good idea of how everyone besides Trump would fair and so far (knock on wood) I’ve been pretty much right on the money. And now we’re down to Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis clinging to the illusion that one or the other can win the Republican nomination for President. I will however, admit even to this day, I was and continue to be somewhat shocked when DeSantis made the decision to throw his hat into the ring and I still fervently believe he should have waited until 2028 to make his run. Why he didn’t I’ll never understand and while this article is about Nikki, I would be remiss if I didn’t suggest the best path forward for DeSantis would be to drop out of the race as soon as possible, mend fences with Trump and give him his full support. Only then will he have a chance at running in 2028 with the forgiveness and eventual support from Trump’s base. The longer he waits, the more difficult that will be.
Haley’s story is different as she’s said things you don’t walk back from easily which we’ll get into soon enough but let’s begin by stating the obvious. Donald Trump is, and always has been the Republican nominee for President in 2024. It was, or should have been a foregone conclusion since the day everyone knew he would announce his bid for winning back the White House. In fact, you’d have to be a fool to believe otherwise. While there ended up being a few more fools than even I imagined, the ones that mattered came to their senses quick enough and dropped out although I have to admit, I was a little surprised the biggest fool of all (Chris Christie) didn’t remain longer though I’m not complaining. Perhaps he landed a gig on one of the Liberal news outlets like CNN or MSNBC or felt dropping out would boost Haley’s votes in New Hampshire. Who knows, and to be honest— who cares.
Therefore— if we go with the all but certain assumption that Trump will be the Republican nominee, this article would end up being one of the shortest articles I’ve written in years but where’s the fun in that? I’ve always found it somewhat intriguing when things like this happen. There are still two individuals left who fail to see the bold writing on the wall, continue walking a tightrope already knowing full well what the outcome will be also knowing (or should know) that the longer they remain, the greater rift it causes between themselves and millions of voters. So it begs the question— why? Desantis tends to choose his words carefully when he speaks of Trump. Perhaps he’s waiting a bit longer for something to change somehow forcing Trump to drop out of the race allowing him to continue the fight in his name. Highly unlikely so I can only hope before he completely depletes his campaign bank account, he drops out and does as I suggested above.
On the other hand, Nikki Haley has jumped from the frying pan into the fire with both feet. Why? Because she seems to be under the delusion that she can actually win. Could be she’s putting too much faith in high-priced advisors and campaign consultants but sure as shit, it’s going to backfire. But let’s take a quick look at a few statements she’s recently made. Forgive me for paraphrasing but it will be close enough.
Chaos Follows Trump
Probably one of the most absurd statements coming out of her mouth. Of course chaos follows Trump but you have to ask the questions— where is the chaos coming from and why with the answers being from Democrats and primarily Permanent Washington with the reason being because Trump has become a significant threat to the latter. Haley on the other hand, is Permanent Washington’s preferred choice because of her go along to get along stance when it comes to politics meaning like Biden, she can be controlled by Permanent Washington. When the going gets tough, she’ll cave every time, especially if her liberal donors demand it. Who by the way, are funding an untold but likely large portion of her campaign. Notice she doesn’t comment much about the administrative state.
Time for a Generational Change
What does she mean by that? Someone younger? That’s all that’s required these days? I sure hope not because from what I’ve seen out there, there sure isn’t a whole lot to choose from which is why I’m in the process of writing my third and final book in the Trump trilogy titled 2029: After Trump.
Trump Could Be in Jail
Another ridiculous statement. Making a statement like that assures she’ll receive very few (if any) votes from Trump’s base. Addendum: Could there be a conviction in any case Trump is facing? Honestly, I’d be surprised if he wasn’t. But all it takes is one look at where these indictments originated from and a four year old could tell you this was, is and continues to be a persecution of Trump by Permanent Washington through Democrat controlled cities and states. And while he may very well be convicted on one of these 91 charges, I’m confident any would be easily over-turned on appeal. Even most Democrats know this. Remember, for political purposes, all Democrats want is a conviction (any conviction) as soon as possible so they can run on it. They don’t care if it’s over-turned because to them, it’s the conviction that will do the most immediate damage. I find it remarkable those who say they’ll change their vote if Trump is convicted. The Democrats are banking on it. And seeing as they’re running the legal show against Trump in Kangaroo courts, they’re going to do their best to make sure it happens. My response, don’t fall for this completely orchestrated Democrat ploy.
Can’t Fight Democrat Chaos with Republican Chaos
First, I’ve yet to see any Republican chaos per say so I have no idea what she’s referring to. To me, what she’s really saying is that she’ll cave yet again at the first sign of the Left doing what they do best— creating chaos.
Wipe the Slate Clean
Yet again, another really concerning statement from Haley. What she’s saying is she wants to completely forget about all that has transpired against Trump over the last 8 years and start fresh holding absolutely no one accountable for anything. It’s Hillary pulling out the cringe-worthy red reset button to Russia which did absolutely nothing more than make the United States look like childish imbeciles. To say it was embarrassing would be an understatement. Again, another reason why Permanent Washington loves her. She’ll wash away all their sins.
Make no mistake— Nikki Haley is not that much different than Liz Cheney. A wolf in sheep’s clothing or in other words, a RINO Republican or at the very least, a Bush establishment Republican which are now considered two of the same. But it’s kinda comical when you think about the comments she makes towards her supporters. All she appears to talk about are issues she literally could not begin to solve on her own unless she echos Trump. She’ll demand this, she’ll demand that and what’s that old saying? You can put all your demands in one hand and shit in the other. Guess which one happens first. That’s the one flaw most every politician makes. Democrat and Republican. They make promises they know damn well they can’t keep. But it sure sounds good in the beginning, doesn’t it? For more on this I refer you to my article— Promises Promises.
Pick an industrial complex, just about any industrial complex and they love this woman. She’s 100% in bed with Ukraine and would happily (if she had her way) send them absolutely anything they desired in her delusional view Ukraine could defeat Russia when the only thing really being accomplished since the war started is turning a few Ukrainian individuals into extremely rich Ukrainian individuals because no one really knows where all the money went (or continues to go) along with hand picked contractors who will go in and rebuild Ukraine afterwards. She appears to be a closet warmonger and by virtue of that, would be more apt to starting or involving the U.S. into a WW3 than any other candidate. As Trump said, she may have been a good governor or a good UN Ambassador but she doesn’t have the “chops” to be the President.
Now we come to reality and the main reason I hesitated in writing this article in the first place. And that reality is we all know Nikki Haley will not in any way shape or form win the Republican nomination for President. Everyone knows it (except the ones who believe she can) which I find at the very least a little baffling. Therefore— everything she says is moot. (See why I hesitated?) That being said, I do have just one concern. And that is once she’s been handed her ass from one monumental loss after another, she decides to make a third party run because I’m certain a group like No Labels will approach her at some point afterwards. I can only hope she’s intelligent enough not to throw in with them or make any attempt to run independently or via third party. That will not just burn down but blow up any further connection with the Republican Party and any remote chance of running for elected office down the road. Republican or Democrat.
But let’s take a quick dip into the world of fantasy and say Nikki Haley does in fact become the Republican nominee for President. What happens? I can say with 99.99999% certainty that Biden or anyone eventually replacing him will win. Why? Because a large percentage of Trumps base will not vote for her. It’s as simple as that. They’ll assume it will be the final betrayal and leave in droves from the Republican Party. With Trumps diehard base being in the millions, it’s a no-brainer which is why Democrats and the Left are supporting her campaign.
So, my message to Nikki Haley is the following: Take some advice from this old fish. Go ahead— spend the next month or two and live high on the hog with your donor’s money then bow out of the race as gracefully as you can. But whatever you do afterwards, it would be best to keep your mouth closed regarding the election because you’ve now placed yourself in a no win situation. Continue bashing Trump and all you’ll be doing is convincing your supporters to vote for Biden or refuse to vote at all which puts you in the box with Liz Cheney, Billy Crystal and the rest of the neo-cons. Throw your support behind Trump and…
no one will believe you.
