Sometimes people ask me where I come up with the articles I write here on A Basket of Fish and the only response I give is either it’s something I’ve been meaning to write about for quite awhile or something from the news that just strikes a chord. This article is one of those strikes a chord instances.
Normally, I wouldn’t give this topic a second thought because you ask yourself, does this sort of thing really happen that often? One wouldn’t think so. Sure, you hear about gender affirmation surgeries like this as a hopefully well thought out decision made by an adult— but kids? Seriously? And this isn’t one of those sixty day money back returns if you don’t like it sort of things— like buying one of those handy dandy must have As Seen on TV commercials for products that seemed like a good idea at the time only collecting dust somewhere in your house. This is life altering with consequences even the medical establishment aren’t yet fully aware of. Just make sure you sign on the dotted line absolving everyone connected with granting your wish from any and all legal and/or financial liability should it not turn out exactly the way you dreamed of once it’s completed. It’s like movie stars who go under the knife for their fifth procedure hoping they’ll look just a little bit better, then having to live with regret for the rest of their lives as they purchase larger and larger sunglasses while they consider one more surgery hoping that will fix the last one. Usually, it just makes it worse.
Like I said, it’s one thing to make these kinds of decisions when you’re an adult. Quite another when you’re seventeen— or younger.
I first was made aware of gender affirming surgery on minors from a segment on Tucker Carlson which I found rather shocking. Here it is—
Another important question we have to ask is why are many of us hearing about all this now? That’s the sixty-four thousand dollar question. How long has this been going on for and why are we just hearing about it? While Tucker Carlson provides a direct answer to a specific question, it’s just one part of a much larger story with answers becoming more obvious with each passing year because it’s connected with other recent issues and events becoming equally obvious. This article will examine those connections.
Eyes Wide Shut
Great line, isn’t it? Kinda says a lot when you think about it. More-so today than when the Stanley Kubrick film Eyes Wide Shut came out in 1999. The film was a rather bizarre reminder of what goes on in this world of ours in the shadows with players in the know refusing to talk about. That is— until they’re exposed or the right time to talk about it presents itself. In many instances— it’s both.
Interesting, isn’t it? Things like these always seem to begin in the shadows. Many times, we don’t hear about things like this until it’s too late to really do much about it or it’s at the very least much more difficult to battle. It starts as an anecdotal incident or rumor until mainstream media decides it can no longer keep it in the shadows by not reporting on it. That bulge under the rug becomes too large to ignore. You know, like a judge changing Pennsylvania’s voting laws undermining it’s own state constitution in 2020 or Hunter Biden’s laptop. But for this, we have to go back in time even further to have a better understanding of how we got to where we are now.
Started out with the gay pride parades with participants swinging their dicks or painted breasts around on floats down main street as supporters cheered them on like they were at a Vegas strip club while children dragged to the event by their parents standing on the sidelines closing their eyes in disbelief. Not a problem for me. Free Country… right? No one forced anyone who didn’t want to attend— to attend. Next came the gay marriage push which I could never personally understand what the issue was in the first place. Gays and lesbians should definitely have the same opportunity to be just as miserable going through all the trappings of a legal divorce as straight men and women. To me, it wasn’t an issue. In fact, personally, I never gave much thought to anyone who declared themselves gay. Good for them I figured…. has nothing to do with me.
The Gender Spin-off
Next came the LGB community with letters added on a yearly basis as if it would make a difference. No one knows what the hell they want with most (except the media) not really giving a shit. Again, live and let live… right? But you hear about this minuscule part of society on a daily basis as if they make up 50% of the population. We began hearing stories like a gay couple trying to force a baker to design and bake a cake which goes against his religious beliefs, to the point of costly lawsuits, doing their best to put said baker out of business for failure to comply when the couple could just as easily gone to a different bakery. But you see, that wasn’t the goal. What started out as live and let live was turning into a “You will not only recognize me as a gay individual but participate in my chosen lifestyle by baking me a cake the way I demand you to. If you don’t, my lawyers who will represent me for free will crush you financially.” No, this baker was targeted in order to provoke a lawsuit.
This and incidents like this were in the news. Pundits screaming homophobic and racist to describe the baker all agreeing he should be put out of business. As all this was happening, most of us had no idea what was going on in the background. We began hearing about things like the sexual education of five and eight year old boys and girls in public schools but many dismissed them out of hand in the beginning primarily because we found them simply unbelievable. It wasn’t brought to the forefront of cable news until recently during Covid-19 when parents got an unexpected glimpse of what was really going on in Public Schools.
Welcome the WOKE
I received my wake-up call when my daughter sent me a link to a video titled The War on Children. After watching the video, I immediately wrote a brief article on February 3rd of 2021 which included the link. If you haven’t seen the video, please click on the link above. For me, it was an eye-opener. After that, what was once unnoticed or dismissed like a stranger in a crowd no one paid any attention to, became noticeable and we began to see the signs everywhere. It always seems to be the case with most of us scratching our heads thinking— How did I not see this?
Thanks to Covid-19, The Cat was Out of the Bag
And the shit hit the fan the day Biden was installed. And with control of the House and the Senate to boot along with mainstream media and big tech doing their best to control the narrative, it turned out to be a whole lot more than the average American bargained for. All hell broke loose. The insane social floodgates were opened. Sex and gender in Public Schools went from in the shadows to in your face primarily because the Democrats and the media (having no other choice by then) reluctantly gave them permission to— bracing for the consequences they knew would soon follow. Now in the spotlight, these enabled, emboldened teachers were posting videos bragging about their WOKE accomplishments in the classroom.
The Media Narrative and Perception
Thanks to Mainstream media, one would believe that all the bizarre garbage about gender being reported on is taking place everywhere therefore justifying it— but the truth is, all they’re doing is preparing the rest of us to that which is taking place in mostly large cities primarily controlled by wacky progressive democrats will be coming to a town near you soon and you should embrace the diversity as equity dictates. Remember to use pronouns or you could be arrested or sued. Eventually you will come around to our way of thinking. You can either come to our side voluntarily or you will be forced to. The decision is yours. Ask any questions and you’ll be destroyed. We are the WOKE.

And it’s not just sexualizing children, it’s the whole agenda. From the war on fossil fuel to declaring everyone should eat bugs instead of hamburgers. “Try it you’ll like it,” they say as one of the pundits delights to the crunchy sound of fried grasshoppers grinding between their teeth while reminding everyone to get their 18th Covid-19 booster. Not 18th booster? Give it time.
Inmates Running the Asylum
All it takes is to look at the midterm elections in liberal cities like New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland and others and what’s been going on in the past decade or so resulting in their complete devastation is apparently what the majority of their shithole cities want. That’s pretty much all one can surmise from the results of these elections be it Governors like Kathy Hochul and JB Pritzker to Mayors like Eric Adams of NYC to Lori Lightfoot of Chicago. Electing people like these time after time goes to show that again, this is apparently what the majority of their shithole cities want. Why? Well, one must keep in mind these shithole cities are also the seats of the gender ideology and WOKE culture in America. Anyone surprised by this? You shouldn’t be seeing that these cities are also the homes of major liberal Colleges and Universities. I sometimes wonder which is worse, liberal learning institutions from Colleges and now k thru 12 and their teaching Critical Race Theory and their Comprehensive Sexuality Education Agenda indoctrination or mainstream media for it’s continued support, justification and defense of it all.
Manipulating Immaturity
It is a fact that the most susceptible and manipulable part of any population is it’s youth which is the main reason Nancy Pelosi wanted to lower the voting age to sixteen and why it’s primarily our youth who continue to fight and die in wars. If given the right motivation, you can talk a kid into just about anything. Learning institutions figured this out decades ago giving birth to indoctrination. Back then, it was primarily in Colleges and Universities however in the last ten years it has found it’s way in to Public K thru 12 schools. Even some child daycare centers. All or most located in larger cities run by liberal democrats. Think I’m wrong? Show me most any city or school district supporting Critical Race Theory or The Comprehensive Sexuality Education Agenda or anything similar for that matter and I’ll show you a WOKE liberal school board in a city run by democrats. For some unknown reason, this is where it all seems to start. All beginning under the radar until someone calls them out on it and the media exposes them to the rest of the country. Libs of tic toc is one of many great examples of this. You watch some of the videos posted and ask yourself, who the hell hires people like these to teach extremely impressionable children? But it does answer the question of why so many kids are screwed up and confused these days.
Confusion is the key and some teachers build on that. The more confused a kid is about themselves, their sexuality and their gender, the more some of these teachers take full advantage of this and manipulate that confusion into submission and eventual conversion to their way of thinking. It’s scary when you think about it, all the while parents don’t have a clue what’s going on between their kids and teachers until the child inadvertently says or does something to alert their parents that something is really wrong— and it’s taking place in schools. Remote learning during Covid was a real eye opener to many parents which led to the ouster of many school board members and the removal of some teachers from their classrooms. Where at one time parents didn’t give a second thought to what was being taught in public schools, they now realized this could no longer be the case and have taken a much larger role in how their kids are taught. Interestingly enough, these WOKE teachers and school board members aren’t changing their ways. They’re either fired or resign only to move on to another city getting hired to continue what they feel is their battle for social justice while they dye their hair a different color, get another tattoo or another piercing.
Don’t forget for a second— all teachers are groomers. There was a time when it was seen as a positive because most parents had a pretty good idea how their children were being taught in school. But this was before the internet, social media and smart phones where now a nine year old can watch porn to his or her hearts content on their phone when a school chum enters a web address saying, “you gotta see this!” resulting in a child’s questioning their own sexuality at a much younger age after watching two teenage boys giving each other blowjobs or an eleven year old girl being shown a video by her classmates as they giggle together watching a teenage girl having all kinds of sex with a man old enough to be her grandfather. Some get hooked on these images to the point where the more they watch this behavior, the more they see it as normal because they’re too young to tell the difference. And who are the first so-called adults in the room to share their own views to these confused kids? The teachers. You know, the ones with purple hair and three lip rings with rainbow flags plastered on their classroom walls. Next thing you know, John comes home from school and announces he wants to be called Jessica along with his newly preferred pronouns and asks Mom and Dad when he can get his penis removed because he no longer identifies as a boy.
We hear about the shocking rise in gender dysphoria among kids yet fail to recognize that it’s most likely due to these teachers constantly talking about pronouns and declaring kids can be any sex or gender they desire. Suggesting to kids who have doubts about their own perceptions of themselves to talk to them after class. “We will help you and your parents don’t need to know,” they say as they hand them books that in many ways, actually promote gender dysphoria. Add the easy access to porn and social media and there’s your answer.
Now, before some of you break out your shotguns, please allow me to clarify that not all of our K thru 12 teachers are this way. In fact, I’ll go as far as to say most aren’t. However, it’s becoming evident (depending on where you live) that there are enough who are to become of great concern to the general public.
Personally, I could never understand what the end game was for all of this. You know— why? What is it that compels some teachers who are in a position of authority over children and the opportunity to shape young minds into this way of believing? We’ll get to some possible answers in the epilog.
And it’s not just the children. Parents buy into this as well. They’re brought into a meeting with teachers or others like going to a timeshare sales event and walk out with an appointment to get puberty blockers for their gender confused children along with a new gender matching wardrobe from Walmart because they were convinced it was the right thing to do. Gotta love those timeshare salesmen— uhhh, I mean persons. They really are that good.
The Gender Fraud

I want to identify as a refrigerator
Used to be, all we had to worry about were our roles as males and females. Now? It’s like….. DAMN!
Who knows anymore!
According to a few websites, there are now 63 genders, (believe it or not.) Here they are.
That’s a whole lot of pronouns to remember. I don’t even know what 98% of those identities are, let alone what they mean. And most likely neither did the person who thought of them but I’m certain they received an A for whatever class they wrote them for. And now I hear there could be as many as 112 genders. Imagine that. The most bizarre part of it all is there are people who truly believe it.
Sigmund Freud would be jumping up and down with joy if he were still around, along with psychologists, psychoanalysts and BIG Pharma waiting in the wings for their piece of the action. But don’t forget to ask your shrink first.
Nope— sorry— can’t do it. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a live and let live kind of guy. And I believe most men are also. Live your life the way you see fit, just as long as it doesn’t affect me personally. But, is it really OK for a male who dresses up like a woman to have the right to go into a ladies bathroom or shower just because he identifies as a female? No! Should cities be that accommodating to this very small minority? Totally up to the cities. But when you hear about the possibility of being fined or thrown in jail for refusing to use pronouns? It boggles the mind and provokes one into the thought of moving.
So yes— things are getting a little out of hand but youth has a funny way of doing that. I can only hope it’s a phase.
Since writing The Guide, I believe another 30 or 40 new genders have popped up. Apparently, the dumbing down of America is just about complete with many college professors patting themselves on the back.
The Normalization of Irrational Thought
This is the Gender Lie and the reason why this lie has grown over recent years is because it’s constantly echoed as truth everywhere with Big tech, mainstream media, learning institutions along with Big Pharma (ask your Doctor) all doing their parts. To the point where the strength of this lie is now forcing Politicians (who make laws, in case you’ve forgotten) to buy into this lie as well. Why? Votes of course. Do any of these people believe in the Gender Lie? Hell no. But— seeing as our country is so divided— although not so much on the gender issue mind you, but just enough where the votes people who actually believe this insanity could win or lose an election? Damn right they’ll buy into it. At least in their stump speeches. And notice that all this is coming from the left. Again, why? Because like children, this very emotionally lost segment of our society are also the most manipulable. Democrats not only know this but take advantage at every opportunity. They’ll proclaim— “Vote for me and I’ll reaffirm your desperate need to be told that what you’re doing is a good thing. I’ll recognize the decisions you’ve made for yourself and the misguided path (taught to you from equally misguided teachers) you’ve chosen to walk are noble and right.” Remember, it’s a whole lot easier to agree with someone you hope will give you their vote than it is to tell them a truth they not only refuse to believe in, but consider the notion as bigoted, homophobic hate speech.
On the other hand, there are many who are quite comfortable in their delusions of gender. Most will eventually come to their senses. Time has a way of doing this but some feel they have a higher calling to do whatever they can to get more people involved in their gender delusion which is why many are employed as teachers or any profession that gives them the opportunity to recruit others.
The one thing I’m finding difficult in this segment is trying to explain irrational thought rationally. (If that makes any sense,) but I’ll do my best.
Fact: There are biological men (males) and biological women (females) with the only exception being hermaphrodites which is an extremely rare occurrence. Throughout history, people the world over have used the term men and women (male and female) as a way to differentiate between these two biological facts. Full stop, end of story. There can be no argument. You— as a human being can be either one or the other. Call yourself whatever you like. Personally, I don’t care. If you were a biological male or female at birth, then that is what you’ll remain for your life. Again, fact. The only thing you can do otherwise is make yourself appear as the opposite sex. Appear is the keyword here. Everything else is semantics. Here’s where it gets crazy because the only way these nuts can justify their beliefs is through semantics. They do this by completely disassociating biological sex with the words gender, man, woman, male and female. By doing so, they can now redefine these words to support their delusions. Thus allowing them to destroy women’s sports (for example) by competing in them. The astonishing part of this is the silence from feminist women is deafening. It is remarkable.
But the fact remains— a biological man at birth will never become a biological woman and vice versa. Men can remove their penis, testicles (ouch!) and create a cave, get breast implants, down female hormones to their hearts content and they will still never become a biological woman. Again, the best they can hope for is gain the appearance of a biological woman. Believe it or not, some do it quite convincingly while others— well, you get my drift. Same goes for women. They can have their breasts removed, hysterectomy and some form of a penis created and after all that, nope— still female. Only now, with a multitude of consequences all will endure for the rest of their lives. I won’t get into the particulars though I will say from what I’ve read and heard from people who have gone that far— such as men having to remember to dilate that cave surgeons have created on a regular basis for the rest of their lives after removing their genitals to keep that cave from closing like a pierced ear going too long without an earring, potentially creating a massive infection— it’s no fun.
Gender vs Sex
Take a look at your drivers license. Most of them on line 15 say SEX: M or SEX: F— but from what I understand, there are now 22 states which allow the letter X to be used instead of the usual F or M further catering to this gender insanity. Heaven help these people should they ever get hurt in an auto accident or any other reason as they’re whisked in an ambulance towards a hospital and the only thing the EMT’s have to go on is X on their drivers licenses or ID cards to determine their sex. Think that doesn’t make a difference? Think again.
The American Factory of Misfit Toys
What we’ve been witnessing over the past fifty years or so is actually psychological warfare directed towards the youth of America through indoctrination beginning with learning institutions, continued enablement and affirmation by Big Tech and Big Pharma— supported by social media and normalized by mainstream media. This whole gender madness is the new kid on the block along with Critical Race Theory and The Comprehensive Sexuality Education Agenda. All connected in one way or another. As I said in the beginning of this article, what you choose to do in your life as an adult is your business, just as long as the way you live your life doesn’t (for the most part) overtly affect the way others live theirs. But you never screw with impressionable minds of children. You just don’t do it. You teach the basics and when they’re old enough to understand and able to intelligently process ideology then fine, knock yourself out. But you don’t do this to children. And while all this began with the gay and lesbian community, there are many in said community who are fighting against this. At the forefront of this fight is a group called Gays Against Groomers. They are just as angered at what’s going on in our Public Schools as the rest of us are. But all this still doesn’t answer the question. WHY?
Unknowing Pawns in a Grander Scheme
Think everything going on in this country over the last… well— let’s say recent history is all happenstance? Completely random events? The 2020 election? Biden? The war on fossil fuels? Vaccine mandates? Shutting down of our schools? Election clusterfucks? Releasing thousands of convicted pedophiles from California prisons (most serving but a fragment of their sentences?) Rampant crime with little to no consequences? A WOKE military? Sending billions of dollars to Ukraine— the most corrupt government on the planet with little to no strings attached? China? And now we’re sexualizing our children in Public Schools? Nope. Like the 2020 election, this has all been a carefully orchestrated Hail Mary Pass by permanent Washington, establishment Democrats and Republicans and the coastal elite with Big Tech and mainstream media providing the platform and leaning institutions providing the initial indoctrination. This has been an ongoing war for a very long time and now with common sense Republicans by virtue of common sense voters regaining the House, albeit by a narrower margin than anyone expected, having control for the next two years means America has finally won a battle, but make no mistake, the war continues. And what is this war you ask?
The dismantling of America. Ideologically burning it to the ground and rebuilding it along with it’s government based on the Global Agenda. They are accomplishing this by turning the United States of America into The United States of Chaos and Confusion starting with obliterating the nuclear family and social norms. And this gender bullshit is simply another part of it. The last thing these people want is unity of any kind either in society or politically. The more confused the better because confusion ultimately creates a country of small niche societies within a larger society slowly breaking down that larger society. This is a clever move by the left and their big tent declarations. By inviting all these small groups into their fold like a wolf in sheep’s clothing throwing them a few political bones along the way concealed in massive omnibus bills passed with complicit RINO Republicans. So large no one reads including hidden small parts no one has heard of until it’s enacted. And these niche groups buy it hook, line and sinker until they come to the realization they’ve been duped like investors were with FTX founder Bankman-Fried. By then, it will be too late. The people mentioned above firmly believe in the mantra of Slow but sure wins the race and yes, from what we’ve been seeing in today’s society? It appears so. At least that’s the garbage mainstream media vomits up on a daily basis.
Republicans in the House definitely have their work cut out for them in 2023.
But that’s another story.
