60 Billion to Ukraine— Congress Lost It’s Mind

Didn’t think I’d feel compelled to write yet another article in regard to Ukraine yet here I am, writing one. Lucky me, right? And I’ll begin this article with a brief statement hoping that it will either compel you to read further or save yourself a little time from having to. It’s your choice. Here it is.

Anyone, and I mean anyone who believes Ukraine can actually prevail militarily over Russia no matter how much money those in the west (primarily here in the U.S.) throw at it are completely out of there ever-lovin’ minds and that the absolute best Ukraine can hope for (as stated in my article The War in Ukraine: It’s Time to End it Before it Ends Us) is Russia decides…  well, here’s the excerpt.

The Absolute Best Case Scenario Ukraine Can Hope For

Which is also the most laughable, sadly enough. Here it is.

Russia makes the decision it just doesn’t want to play anymore. They notify the U.S. of their plan to withdraw all troops from Ukraine but retain Crimea, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson as a buffer zone with a promise and warning to Ukraine, the U.S. and NATO. They make the promise in no uncertain terms that if Ukraine or any country retaliates against Russia militarily, be it directly or against recently annexed regions and Crimea, Russia will consider this as a full blown act of war and will respond with overwhelming force. Russia will include in this warning that they will also consider— this time, any help militarily or monetarily to Ukraine as also an act of war and will not hesitate using it’s nuclear option (if necessary) in order to save Russian lives like the U.S. did with Japan in World War 2. That if the U.S. truly wants a nuclear World War 3, they will get it. Adding that if Russia goes down, they’ll take the rest of the world along with them. The scary part is, they’ll mean it.  [end excerpt]

And what becomes of Ukraine? Here’s another excerpt, same article.

The biggest loser in all this is Ukraine. While I have sympathy for it’s people for being nothing but naive political pawns, I have absolutely none for it’s government because they should have known better. They chose the road of disaster because they believed the rhetoric coming from others and all they’ll have to show for it is a bombed out country along with a few newly ultra-rich individuals who profited and will continue to profit from the people’s suffering. When the war ends, the people of Ukraine will have to completely rely on charity from other countries to remain afloat. And what’s the old saying? There’s no such thing as a free lunch.  When the dust settles and the people of Ukraine reflect on what was lost and the price they paid and will continue to pay for decades to come knowing the best they can hope for is going back to their lives under a corrupt government— I guarantee you, revolution will be in the air. [end excerpt]

Now I wrote the original article (The Pot Calling the Kettle Black) a little over two years ago with the update close to a year later and after over one hundred billion dollars already given to Ukraine with basically no strings attached and countless thousands of deaths on both sides, I sincerely ask, what good has it done?

The only ones profiting from the billions being spent are American arms manufacturers who I’m certain are jumping up and down with joy in the knowledge that billions more will be spent for even more Ukrainians to subsequently die because of their continued use. “More American jobs!” one declared Joe Biden supporter on Truth Social proclaimed while Mike Johnson basically says Better Ukrainians die using our weapons than Americans die using the same because of their utterly delusional belief that if Ukraine falls, Putin will march into NATO countries next. To all people with a modicum of common sense, even those who are insane enough to support it, I ask the following question:

Does anyone truly believe that Putin would intentionally invade any NATO country (unprovoked) knowing that somewhere around 32 countries (including the U.S.) would declare war on Russia in response? Putin may be many things but he’s not stupid.

I used the word unprovoked because who knows what will happen. Perhaps a false flag event? It’s not like this hasn’t happened in the past. There are hundreds of examples, even those committed by the U.S. themselves. And as I’ve said in the past, should that take place no matter what the cause, welcome World War Three. But wait— perhaps more war is exactly what the U.S. needs. After-all, we do have an over 34 Trillion dollar national debt to consider… right?

Another history lesson is in order but I’ll do my best to stick to the highlights.

1935: The U.S. had been in the worst economic depression in history for over six years with no real end in site even with the programs FDR implemented. That all began to subside with events leading up to World War 2 with the invasion of Poland by Hitler then going to the U.S  manufacturing hilt with the bombing of Pearl Harbor, December 7th, 1941. In 1930, 25% of the U.S. work force was out of a job, by 1939, jobs were so plentiful, people from the south were migrating to the north to fill them and even then it wasn’t enough until 1941 with the necessary addition of women into the work force. Unemployment virtually vanished.

After the war ended, most of Europe had been decimated which included it’s manufacturing. Seeing U.S. manufacturing made it through WW2 unscathed, it began the largest economic boom in U.S. history lasting well over two decades. So, not only did WW2 end the great depression of 1929, it also reduced the national debt from over 106% of GDP in 1946 to 23% by 1974. Why? Because the U.S was pretty much making everything after the war. For the most part, they were the only ones who had the ability. And the cost in lives? Approximately 3% of the estimated global population at the time. In other words, 40 to 50 million. [End of lesson]

So, is global war the answer? Some might agree (just as long as no nukes are involved.) Blow up everyone and their manufacturing capabilities then sell them everything afterwards. Believe it or not, there are some in Government who I’m sure just might believe it’s a plausible solution. Then again, what to do about China…  hmmmm. Ukraine and the Middle East might end up being a good place to start but I hate to be the bearer of bad news, there will be no third world war that won’t involve nukes. Might as well take that off the table now.

Austerity Anyone… Anyone?

Make no mistake, if we don’t get a handle on this close to 35 Trillion dollar debt, austerity measures will take place here in the U.S. and trust me, it won’t be a pretty sight when this happens. Remember what happen in Greece not too long ago? All hell broke loose and that was a tiny little country with nowhere near the debt the U.S. now has. I don’t want to even think of what would happen if the same economic fate were brought against the American public.

While I won’t begin to speculate how the U.S. intends to dig themselves out of the economic canyon they created outside of Trump’s plan to “drill baby drill,” we still have to answer the question.

What earthly good will handing Ukraine another 60 Billion dollars for what everyone already knows is a lost cause? Remember that best case scenario? Russia packs up and goes home. That’s it. 160 Billion dollars later, Russia packs up and goes home leaving a bombed out Ukraine in economic ruin while Zelenskyy does his best to somehow justify the deaths of hundreds of thousands of their fellow citizens, the displacement and now homeless with absolutely nothing to show for it. The country was corrupt before the war and will be equally if not more corrupt afterwards. So there must be some other reason. Let’s consider what they might be.

No Such Thing as a Free Lunch

The American public has basically no idea exactly where and what billions of dollars were spent in Ukraine or where this additional money is going. Sure, they say so much is going to military aid and so much is going for Ukraine Government aid and so on. When it comes to the money for military aid, Ukraine is simply handing the money back to the U.S. in exchange for military arms Ukraine is receiving. It’s like I give you five dollars for a ham sandwich and seeing as I make ham sandwiches, you give me back the five dollars I gave you as I hand you a ham sandwich. That seems to be where the bulk of the money goes. Right back to the U.S. and arms manufacturers couldn’t be happier. But that still leaves tens of billions in other aid remaining and as far as I am aware, nobody really knows what it’s being spent on.

Think about it. 160 Billion is a whole lot of money and the U.S. doesn’t just hand that kind of money out without expecting something in return. And neither do other countries who have given additional billions for the Ukrainian cause. I’m guessing but if you added it all up, I’m certain it would be somewhere around half a trillion dollars in money and military aid Zelenskyy has received for a war they have absolutely no chance of winning. Again, best case scenario is Russia packs up and goes home. One can only wonder what Zelenskyy’s Government has promised (or signed away) in exchange. We also have no real idea if the IMF or World Bank have sunk their claws in Ukraine as well but I’ll say this. When Russia does pack up and go home, we and sadly, the people of Ukraine are going to find out.

But perhaps— just perhaps it’s not about cash. These countries along with the U.S. know the money has already been spent and citizens have short memories. What can Ukraine (a broke and corrupt country) offer in exchange for not only what they’ve received up until now but the hundreds of billions of additional dollars that will be required to rebuild their country and economy? Natural resources? Deals on grain and other things Ukraine has been known to produce and export? Or could it be something a little more covert. You know, things like bio-weapons labs or operations which might be illegal in countries that provided aid to Ukraine, might be allowed to take place. If this was (or will be) part of the deal, trust me, we’ll never know.

I’ve done my best not to sound like a broken record by regurgitating that which I’ve already written about in my two previous articles. Not a bad job only relying on two excerpts but if you have yet to read them, I invite you to. The links can be easily found in this article. So let’s answer the question given on the cover image. Has Common Sense Left Congress or is Zelenskyy Selling Ukraine to The West With the Souls of it’s Citizens and Natural Resources? The answer is a resounding YES. Congress has lost it’s mind and Zelenskyy is selling Ukraine which I feel will be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt when all the dust settles. When most Americans don’t believe for a second the reasons Congress is giving for their approval of this money, these congressmen and women will pay the price with the loss of their seats. And this will include some Republicans. Hopefully. But that’s another article. Here it is: The United States Congress.

For those of you who have read the previous articles, remember Deal 1? No NATO, no invasion. That was it— meaning, none of this had to happen. But Zelenskyy allowed himself to be convinced to ignore Russia’s ultimatum which brought Ukraine to where they are today. He made the choice to sell his soul and the souls of his country to the West. The consequences of which to be played out afterwards when Russia does pack up and go home. When the citizens of Ukraine finally have time to reflect on what’s transpired over the past two plus years, what do you believe their very next thoughts will be? The answer?

What happens now?

(This is when they become furious.)
