Divvying Up Ukraine

First Things First

A few notes to all before we get into the heart of this article.
To better understand what you’re about to read, I strongly recommend you begin with the articles that precede this one. Here are the links. (1) The Pot Calling the Kettle Black (2) The Ukraine War: It’s Time to End it Before it Ends Us (3) 60 Billion to Ukraine: Congress Lost Its Mind. I know, big ask, right? Well— I’ll leave that up to you.

Last thing second:
Biting the Hand that Feeds You
I’d be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge the somewhat entertaining event at the Oval Office between Zelenskyy, Trump and J.D. Vance. Some called it a set-up but seeing that a profitable rare earth minerals agreement was on the table, I kind of doubt it. Though rumors abound that Trump wasn’t overly thrilled with the watered down version of the agreement that it could have been a way to get out of it. Then again, Trump doesn’t seem like the kind of guy who would resort to that kind of public theater simply to get out of a deal. If he truly didn’t think the agreement was any good, he’d simply walk away from it. Also, from what I understand, this wasn’t the first time Zelenskyy has demonstrated this behavior. I’m sure those on Biden’s team including Biden himself can attest to that. In other words, Zelenskyy is at heart, an argumentative egotistical antagonist asshole. And that’s fine if you’re (as Trump said) holding all the cards. But lets face a few facts. If it wasn’t for U.S. weapons and money, the Ukraine war wouldn’t have lasted over two weeks at the most as I wrote about in my first article. People would be saying today— “Ukraine? Ukraine who? Like Crimea, it would have been a brief blip on America’s radar.

So here’s the part I have difficulty understanding. If the U.S. stops it’s funding of Zelenskyy’s war with Putin (or vice versa), Ukraine loses the whole ball of wax. Therefore, one would think Zelenskyy (fully aware that Trump is definitely no Biden) would have been on his best behavior. Go to Washington, say some nice things, sign the agreement, eat lunch, say thank-you for everything then go home. Keep in mind, Ukraine has already lost. Perhaps not his government (for the time being) but virtually everything else. It’s almost as if he’s trying to dictate his own terms of surrender. Which when you think about it, is exactly what he’s doing. And if he doesn’t get what he wants, he’ll keep on fighting for what has always been a lost cause. What astonishes me are all these other countries like the UK are continuing their funding as well. Could there be an alternative reason for this? Absolutely! Especially when everyone knows there is and never was no winning for Ukraine. With all the death and destruction over the years, the people of Ukraine are finally beginning to realize this. Their lives keep getting worse as they bury their loved ones. The question always was since the very beginning— what will losing cost to the citizens of Ukraine? Because they in the end will be footing the bill.

Ukraine basically survives on money and weapons it receives from the U.S. and other countries and to some degree will have to be paid back. Biden began aid to Ukraine with no strings attached and as Trump said— was a really stupid thing to do. Trump wanted the money back in some form or another and he sure as hell wasn’t going to wait until the end of the war to get it. Hence, the rare earth minerals deal. Will Zelenskyy eventually sign it? If he doesn’t, Russia takes the whole enchilada, so of course he will. Why? Outside of the main reason above, Zelenskyy wants to be considered a main player in the game. For the time being, he remains Ukraine’s President and he’ll need a boatload of money in additional aid from the U.S. and other countries to remain in a game the world is growing tired of. I have a really strong feeling providing more weapons to Ukraine will no longer be top of America’s list. That is unless other countries want to pay for America’s weaponry and delivers them. Trump wants this war over as soon as humanly possible. Afterwards— let the rebuilding of Ukraine commence.

Divvying Up Ukraine

Ukraine is billions in debt. Most likely much higher if you add in all the war loans from other countries. Could be hundreds of billions when the war comes to an end and rebuilding Ukraine begins. Dare I say close to a trillion? Let’s just say it wouldn’t surprise me. Some aid from countries in the past may have been gifted, perhaps in the hope of obtaining lucrative contracts afterwards, but I am 99.9% certain that any if not all aid to Ukraine in the recent past are now considered loans. I’m also equally certain they have no problem loaning Ukraine more (for the time being). The obvious reasons for this are the following:

First, there will be a deal made between Russia and Ukraine to end the fighting. Exactly when I’m not sure but I will say it will be soon. If I had to guess, I’d say within four months. Perhaps two but I’m giving myself a little leeway.

2. Ukraine will be surrendering land to Russia for the war to end for Ukraine to retain its sovereignty. (see earlier articles mentioned above).

3. If the EU and other countries loans to Ukraine become too great (or risky), they’ll threaten to stop further loans and/or aid to force an end to the fighting. If it does get to that point, Russia (seeing Europe no longer wants to further fund a lost cause) will most definitely ramp up it’s attacks in order to renegotiate the deal more into Russia’s favor or win it all. That’s the last thing they want. Remember, they’re going to want their money back. If Russia takes over Ukraine completely, no repayment. They lose it all, including the lucrative contracts for rebuilding the country they’re likely to receive. Whether it’s in the form of loans or gifts of weapons and cash, their generosity isn’t boundless.

4. How Ukraine pays these debts to other countries (including the U.S.) for their roles in prolonging this war are limited seeing Ukraine’s wallet is empty and will remain empty for years if not decades to come. The only things they have to offer as payment are either cash or chunks of their exports: Here are the top 10:

  • 1. Corn
  • 2. Sun/safflower/cotton-seed oil
  • 3. Iron ores, concentrates
  • 4. Wheat
  • 5. Rape/colza seeds
  • 6. Insulated wire/cable
  • 7. Sunflower seeds
  • 8. Iron or non-alloy steel products (semi-finished)
  • 9. Hot-rolled iron or non-alloy steel products
  • 10. Soya beans

Notice rare earth minerals aren’t on the list. Well, the list is a couple of years old so, could be the reason. Another could be Ukraine isn’t actively mining them. That will soon change. What else does Ukraine have of value?

5. The secret sauce. You know, all the sneaky back-room deals governments make with each other the public is unaware of. Like bio-labs or other things their own governments don’t approve of. Happens all the time, including in the U.S. I’d wager. In this respect, the list could be a long one when you consider that again—  Ukraine is one of if not the most corrupt nation in Europe.

I find it impossible to believe there’s a soul on the planet who actually believes Ukraine has the slightest chance, the remotest possibility of winning the war against Russia. It’s just not going to happen which begs the question— why has this war continued for as long as it has?

I can only think of a few answers. All of which aren’t good ones. Plausible, but not good.

1.  Zelenskyy is using the war for personal gain. He embezzles millions from foreign aid he’s receives then resigns saying it’s for the good of Ukraine. Or loses the war completely and flees in exile with millions.

2. It’s all about the Benjamins. Europe loans billions to Ukraine, then when there’s a peace deal, they reap the rewards. Never forget, war is big business.

3. The military industrial complex. The more weapons they sell, the richer they become. It’s not in their best interest for the war to end. Seeing that a good portion of U.S. aid to Ukraine is in the form of weaponry, it’s a win win situation. Again, never forget, war is big business.

Make no mistake, this was Biden’s war (remember? He said “for as long as it takes”) Trump is forced to clean up while in the process of recouping billions of wasted taxpayer dollars in the process.  The proposed rare earth mineral deal will solve that and again, the deal will be made. Zelenskyy can’t afford not to. Trump is going to end this war whether Zelenskyy likes it or not. He will get an ultimatum from Trump. Either make a deal or Trump stops all future funding and trust me, if Trump stops the funding, it won’t be long before everyone else does. Zelenskyy has to know this. On top of which, the U.S. will demand a full financial audit of how the money received from the U.S. was spent. I don’t know what he’s more worried of. Getting out of the war or what happens after the war has ended.

Zelenskyy is now between the proverbial rock and a hard place with the end of the war growing nearer by the day. One can only hope he’s squirreled enough money away from the aid he (and likely others in his government) probably received over the years as his political and comical future doesn’t look too good. Again, you have to remember, Ukraine is one of if not the most corrupt country in Europe. It’s the way they’ve done business for centuries. As I’ve said in previous articles, once everything is said and done, the people of Ukraine will have lost the most. Countless thousands dead, natural resources going to pay their ever-growing war debt and what have they gained? Absolutely nothing. I said it at the end of the very first article. The Pot Calling the Kettle Black…

Zelenskyy should have taken deal one.

Addendum:

Just when I think I’ve finished this article— I come across an article on FOX. Here’s an excerpt

Zelenskyy met with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Saturday, with the pair spotted on camera embracing upon Zelenskyy’s arrival.

“We stand with Ukraine for as long as it may take,” Starmer said on Saturday while offering the UK’s “unwavering” support for Ukraine.

A group of European leaders met in London on Sunday after Starmer told local media that he had spoken with Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron regarding the UK and France taking the reins on crafting a plan for peace that will eventually be presented to the U.S.

The UK leader vowed in comments on Sunday that the nation is “ready to put boots on the ground and planes in the air” to support Ukraine against Russia and ultimately reach a peace deal.

“We discussed a plan today to reach a peace that is tough and fair, that Ukraine will help shape, that’s backed by strength, to stop Putin coming back for more,” Starmer said on Sunday. “I’m working closely with other European leaders on this, and I’m clear that the U.K. is ready to put boots on the ground and planes in the air to support a deal, working together with our allies, because that is the only way that peace will last.” [end of excerpt]

Now why on earth would leaders of some European countries say this shit right in the middle of trying to end this war? Granted, I understand these countries want to protect their interests in getting a return on the billions they’ve dumped into Ukraine in prolonging this war but if they felt the need to make such antagonistic, provocative (and dangerous) statements now, and in public, I suggest they either save them for after a peace deal is achieved or keep their mouths shut completely.

I find it remarkable the chest pounding and statements that include “for as long as it takes” made by the UK (and others) when the only skin in the game they have is money and rhetoric. If I were Trump, I’d find these statements a little insulting. Perhaps it’s time to remind these countries that NATO wouldn’t be NATO if it weren’t for the United States. Europe is treading on thin ice and the Globalists not only love it, they’re egging it on.
