For those of you who are long time visitors here, it comes as no surprise that my articles are lengthy because I do my best to cover all the bases when writing them. Regarding what you’re about to read (and see) this time will make some previous articles pale in comparison. So, please make sure you have the time to give this article proper consideration. You’re gonna need it. How long? I would say easily one and a half to two hours. Now, before you close this window, please don’t see this merely as an article because it’s not. Instead, think of this as a docu-article because that’s really what this is. And it’s a first for me and might just continue from time to time because I sincerely believe there are times when docu-articles such as this are warranted. So sit back, relax and be prepared to learn a few things. First, a little background…
I’ve always been a documentary nerd. To me, knowledge is power however I make it a point to stay as far away as I can from completely one-sided productions which become obvious after fifteen minutes of viewing. Especially when they use opinions instead of facts to reaffirm their own beliefs. I came across this documentary years ago and found it eye opening. This documentary titled Behind the Big News produced by The John Birch Society was released 21 years ago. I know what you’re thinking…. “why on earth should I watch an old video produced by what some have labeled conspiracy nuts?” My answer would be you shouldn’t. At least not so much for the message (or conclusion) the video tries to make but primarily for the facts the video show in order to come to their conclusion. And this video is loaded with them. It also shows this dishonest, deceiving practice by the media has been going on for a very long time and continues even more blatantly today. As I’ve said before, embellishing is one thing but being told outright lies to achieve a desired outcome is quite another. Come to your own conclusions at the end of this article or do further research should you desire. There are 17 clips that make up this documentary (with additional clips from other sources added) and be assured, I did not edit or place these clips out of their original order. The reason for the clips is that it allows me to comment. I included the ending credits of this documentary to give credit where credit was due. Behind the Big News: Clip 1
Think about it, this documentary is over 20 years old and even back then, 67% of Americans didn’t trust our news media. These days? A new Gallup poll found only 7% of adults have a ‘great deal’ of trust in news media while 38% say they have none at all.
The most remarkable part about this clip isn’t so much the story of deceit by a major news organization itself. It’s the nonchalant way in which they owned up to their fabricated lies, so matter-of-factly, then at the end, after their non-apology acknowledgement of their lies and misdeeds, they state that this will be their new policy. Imagine that. A policy of being truthful in their reporting to their viewers? That’s their new policy? It makes one wonder what the hell their old policy was and how many other times they’ve lied.

Some might say… killing a story? Happens all the time… right? Some others might bring whataboutism into the mix by stating Trump did the same thing with paying off a porn star to keep her lying mouth shut during an election after (we should all note) she signed an NDA agreement for which she will be paying untold thousands for breaking. What about that? Well, I’d say keep it in perspective. There’s just a tad bit of difference between an alleged story involving a porn star and a fact-checked story involving our federal government. Behind the Big News: Clip 3
This isn’t just utterly pathetic, it’s downright immoral. In many articles I’ve written about what Liberals, Democrats and the Left are doing to this country, I always add their apparent motto “the ends justifies the means”. And mainstream media plays a key role in it all. Thankfully, with the rise of platforms like Truth Social and Elon Musk’s X, there is push-back against it resulting in decreased viewership amongst Liberal Mainstream Media. (And rightfully so).

Today more than ever, it’s no secret Mainstream Media which includes the White House Press Corps are completely in the tank with Democrats. It doesn’t take too much effort to realize the stark contrast between how the Trump administration and the Biden/Harris administration were treated by the White House Press Corps. The former with defiant, outright belligerence and the latter with kid gloves.

I know what you’re thinking. OK Basket, we didn’t notice you’re wearing your tin foil hat! I must confess, I’ve known about the Council on Foreign Relations and Trilateral Commission for many years though not enough to make any kind of concrete judgement about either. Should you take all this with a grain of salt? That’s up to you but I would suggest you continue watching because this film does make a compelling argument based on what we’ve seen so far as factual evidence. In many articles I’ve written, I mention globalists and the globalist agenda. We don’t hear about them that often in mainstream media. There’s a reason for it. Also, it’s now common knowledge that just a very few corporations have complete control over what we see and hear in regard to important issues of the day. Just recently I might add, is the left-wing billionaire George Soros’ funded group getting the green light from the FCC to purchase 200 radio stations. Think you’ll be hearing any conservative opinions after that? Or important stories considered negative towards the Left? Nahhh…. those days will be officially gone after the buy-out. If one looks at the membership of the CFR, it’s a virtual who’s who in government, business, academia and Hollywood. I could be wrong but it does appear George Soros was on the CFR board from1995 to 2004. Whether he’s still a member is an unimportant mystery to me personally.
The CFR and Trilateral Commission will be mentioned frequently throughout the rest of this film. Whether you subscribe to the connection or not, that’s purely your decision but again, it’s the factual information given— that is what in my opinion is not only eye-opening but equally compelling evidence in reaching your own conclusions. Think I’m wrong? Go out and smoke a cigarette or refill your glass of beer, wine or whiskey— then keep watching.

And to this day, it appears The New York Times continue to take it’s marching orders from a Democrat controlled White House. The now old clip below is a perfect example of this. In my defense, the clip came from part 3 of my original three part series on the media I wrote almost four years ago which I then converted into part one of this duo of articles with additional commentary. This practice continues to this very day although until it’s called out, no one notices.

The truth about and behind the New York Times has been around for decades. I never cease to be amazed the amount of credit given not only by the Liberal Press but by all news outlets who either praise them, quote them or call them out. What’s their motto? All the news that’s fit to print but after watching this very eye-opening clip, it’s clear their manipulation of public opinion is what allows certain government administrations to get away with actions that if it weren’t for their reporting, never would have gotten away with. In case you missed it on the clip, the image below has the text of what he actually said while speaking at a Bilderberg meeting in Baden-Baden, Germany June 1991. Notice in the clip it said (voice simulation.) Did he utter these now infamous words? Let’s just say I’ve seen not one shred of evidence to the contrary.

Watching this clip brought back memories of my book Covid-19: The Convenient Virus from China. The following is an excerpt.
1. “Remember the Maine!” (A History Lesson)
Now, for those of you who either flunked history back in school or were never that interested in it to begin with – now would be a really good time to start brushing up. What does a history lesson have to do with Covid-19? You’ll see.
Three instances in history that come to mind:
1a. The alleged attack on the USS Maine.
1b. The USS Maddox incident.
1c. The Reichstag Fire
While I won’t go into details regarding these three events and their place in history, (I’ll leave that up to you,) I will say one thing. All three events changed the world. The first pretty much started the Spanish American War. The second significantly escalated the Vietnam war and the third contributed to the 2nd World War by being one of the precursors for Hitler rising to complete power. Without these three events taking place – these wars would have been a much more difficult “sell” to citizens of the US and Germany. (Although the Treaty of Versailles after WW1 didn’t help. But that’s another story.)
The point I’m trying to make referencing these three historical events is that they have one very important thing in common. For those of you who actually know about these three events – I know what you’re going to say.
You’re going to say.. “They were all false flag events!” And while many historians would share your view (including myself). Nope…. not the answer I had in mind. The answer is, all three events were heavily reported by the mainstream media. Meaning, reports of these three events were plastered all over newspapers, radio, news reels and later on, television. And they reported these stories in a way which swayed public opinion to garner support for what the government[s] wanted to do as a response.
The STAR of this particular part of the story is none other than, William Randolph Hearst Sr. Again, if you want to find out who he was, feel free to Google him. However, in order to reveal his relevance years after his death, you have to know a little about the man. William Randolph Hearst Sr. was at one time, the owner of the largest newspaper chain and media company in the United States. For his time, Hearst was the “MSM and Big Tech” rolled into one. While the New York Times played a key role in disseminating fake news. Hearst played an equally important role in doing the same. Hence the term yellow journalism.

And here all along, I was just under the impression that good old Bill was getting tired of giving Hillary the high hard one once every six months or so (when she felt sorry for the guy.) While I wasn’t much into Geo-politics or world events for that matter back then, I sure as hell wasn’t aware of any “China-gate” going on. For myself— and for this documentary being as old as it is, this clip was probably the most eye-opening segment. And you see? This is how most of it works. The public finally receives the truth years later when nothing of any real substance can be done about it. And it’s for this reason, Biden opened up the floodgates to illegal aliens on day one. It gave four years for the public to begin feeling sorry for these people saying….”they’re already here… might as well let them stay.”

These days, they call this the Uniparty and there’s a lot of truth behind that until you see the way Congress votes. Outside of a few rebels, it’s pretty much lockstep behind their chosen party’s bills or issues of the times. Unfortunately, because there is so much money being poured into elections, even ballot initiatives— we are forced to play certain games by the ones who can afford to make the rules. More in this in the epilog.

Global warming/Global freezing two of the biggest lies (scams) pushed on the American public. It’s made people like Al Gore and others very rich. I’ve always found it interesting how people in their 40’s or older make these wide-eyed apocalyptic statements and warnings of things that might happen long after they’re dead. But the clip is correct in stating issues like these are the beginnings of globalism. The Paris climate accords are a good example of this and what is it all about? You guessed it… money and the ability to force other countries into making really bad decisions effecting their own economies and by extension— their citizenry. Think about it. Most starvation in the world today are primarily due to the decisions, actions or inaction of their own governments.

Again— this is how riots begin and in most or at the very least, the media are behind it. Sadly, nothing changes as recently proved by the George Floyd riots primarily caused by the media’s deliberate failure in reporting the full story.

Interesting to say the least… right? This just goes to show how a completely manufactured bullshit story of one lie after another can manipulate an unknowing public. I’ll put riots and chaos under the same heading from the clip we saw earlier where it said “if it bleeds it leads.” The public, especially the American public thrives on chaos. Most if not all of it indoctrinated by the media. How many protests and riots would we see if it was known beforehand no one would cover it? Far less than we’re seeing now I would imagine. Another question never answered is who sets up and funds these protests? To the media, it doesn’t matter. (See article, Protestors-R-US: Two for One Sale Today!
From headline news to reality TV. Look at any of the so-called reality TV shows from the Jersey Shore to Housewives of here and there and what do they all have in common? Chaos— and America soaks it up like a sponge and it’s great for ratings. And it’s rolled over into streaming platforms like TicTok and YouTube. It’s everywhere. Nothing is funnier than watching a kid crushing his balls on a rail while skateboarding. At least to everyone but the kid… OUCH!

The truth is (which I believe the documentary you’ve just watched more than proves) is that history regarding the mainstream media hasn’t changed one bit for generations and continues to this very day. If anything, it’s now become outright blatant. It’s not just the lies behind the stories or issues reported on— it’s the lies of omission by either refusing to report on a story or editing the story to meet with their prescribed narrative. Again— this documentary is over twenty years old yet one could easily replace issues we’re facing today with issues reported on or censored back then. And behind it all is the media kowtowing to their owners. People say Trump is a threat to Democracy when the real threat to United States Democracy is Liberal Corporate Media brought to you by the Political Establishment, Globalists, and the Administrative State. They’re not just the ones providing the fuel…
they’re lighting the match.
Below is an example of today’s corporate media. Establishment media host, Trump hater Stephanie Ruhle of defends incompetent, tax hiking Marxist/Socialist Kamala Harris giving her reasoning behind voting for a word salad imbecile who only does interviews with friendly’s but takes no questions or does press conferences from objective reporters (sound familiar?)— just because she’s not Trump with NY Times writer Bret Stephens. Forget the tiny little fact the Harris has been one-half of the team that has ruined this country in more ways we won’t be able to really imagine for decades to come. Interestingly enough, Ruhle goes on to do a softball puff-piece interview with Kamala Harris just days later then admits Harris dodges questions.
One final comment I’d like to make is in regard to the Vice Presidential debate between Vance and Walz. Instead of reporting how Vance had won the debate hands down on CNN and MSNBC, they both led their respective 8PM programs with Jack Smith’s brand new criminal indictment against Trump. Imagine that. Just goes to show how desperate liberal Judges interfere in U.S. elections by unsealing one-sided bullshit indictments to the public thirty days before an election they know they’re about to lose.
